The city is
beginning to come alive! The tourists are beginning to return and to enjoy the
spirit of this wonderful, little place called Nauvoo. The weather has already
turned sultry, as the humidity begins to uncomfortably settle upon this historic
place within the Lord’s vineyard. The Mississippi River
is beautiful and invites all to come and see the majesty
of one of God’s
most miraculous creations.
The shows
have begun and they are wonderful. The Young Performing Missionaries are
incredible talented and full of unstoppable energy. One if the shows entitled,
“Sunset By
The Mississippi ” has changed
some of the acts within, which has caused the true talents of the dancers and
singers to entertain vast audiences of appreciative supporters. We look forward
to The Nauvoo pageant to begin (July 8-August 2). This year for the first time
there will be two pageants. The Nauvoo Pageant will be performed on Tuesday,
Wednesday and Friday. The new British Pageant, which debuted last summer in England , will
be performed on stage on Wednesday’s and Friday’s. We are excited for the
Pageants to begin and to mingle with the people that will come to Nauvoo to
enjoy the entertainment and the spirit within the City of Joseph .
We are very
busy teaching and have been blessed with a number of people with which to share
the gospel. It is miraculous to observe the spirit touch their hearts as they
come closer unto Christ. We are hopeful that true conversions will continue to take
place and that several of these wonderful people will become members of
Christ’s church. We will attend the Nauvoo
Temple with resent
converts on Monday, June 2. We look
forward to being with them as they continue their journey with the Lord.
We are
hopeful that each of us remembers that the Lord needs member missionaries to
step up their efforts and to find souls to refer to those wonderful
missionaries in your area. The key is to INVITE! Nothing happens in missionary
work until we have someone to teach. The Lord loves His missionaries, each of
them! Help them find those that have been prepared to hear the gospel.
Stand
Strong and Be Bold!!
We love
you,
Elder and
Sister Warner
